Vacations and Trips

So, we have had a lot of trips. Our first trip was to Nashville for a little personal family vaca, then on to Mississippi to visit with my dad and family, and lastly a trip with with some of our Jrs and Srs from the youth group (a trip we do annually to spend some quality time with the Srs going off to college). So the pictures begin with a little commentary...I can't help myself.

Notice our house in the background? The VERY beginning of our trip. Isn't he so handsome?
Happy campers in the beginning.

Check out that smile.
First stop is Nashville where we stayed at a cute hotel. The boys loved the pool. Trey was actually kicking and laying on his belly in the water!! YEAH!!! This is huge considering how he felt about water last year.
The vest probably isn't the most comfortable. But doesn't he look too funny? (And Safe)
I mean...who wouldn't just kiss all over his face all day long? I know I can't help myself?

Trey JUMPING!!! NO HANDS!!!
The boys posing.
Then we had dinner at Johns favorite place, The Old Spaghetti Factory (which can be seen in the background of the following pic). Afterwards there was a live concert (with Julia Hough) that we watched for a little while.
Too precious!
Mommy was determined to get in on some pics on this trip.
This is one of my favorite pics!
Then we spent an afternoon at the Nashville Zoo. No we did not walk through sprinklers...it was that hot and humid!!! Yuck!! But look at that face.
Patiently waiting for daddy and Trey to finish watching the Alligators.
He wouldn't sit on it, which I thought would be a really cute pic.
This was by far one of the most brilliant things I've ever seen at a Zoo or anyplace!! A big enclosed area that was fully padded!!! My kids had the best time. And it was shaded.

I included this pic so you could see the jumping pads. The seats were cushioned too. I want a room like this in my house. Trey is so clumsy...even at 3. LOL
The big cushioned animals were fun too. They jumped, sit, stood...they has so much fun!
Then Steak & Shake for dinner. Trey was just too cute that night!
Yes, we go out to eat and order pb&j. It's what he loves.
Sweet.
So funny!
His first shake. He loved it. I love his face.

Then down to Mississippi to see Grandpa. The boys loved the MULE!
And Kole loved Uncle Jamie's house shoes. The boy is obsessed with shoes. Just not his.
Grandpa and Uncle Jamie.

I love this picture of Trey. He is standing in front of Bailey Lake, where my daddy grew up and I used to play.
Like father, like son.
The lily pads there used to completely cover the entire lake.
Grandpa helping Kole do his favorite thing. EAT

Another one of my favorites.
And another favorite.
And another. This is classic of me and daddy!
On the trip home. Kole likes to use his feet for everything.
Trey's best rocker impression!! He is playing his air guitar!!
I finally cut Kole's hair. Such a little man now.
Then the Jr. Sr. trip. Joey and Cori Beth were two of our kids that went.
The boys watched a lot of TV on our trips. Thank goodness for portable DVD players.
Daddy driving again. Love the face.
We always go to Dale Hallow Lake. Trey has been every year. It started when he was just 3 or 4 months old.
Kole also went last year at the age of 6 months. They love riding the boats.
Kole loved the water.

I don't know why, but I love the backs of my kids heads. I know it is so wierd but I can't help it.
Daddy was not a big fan of this. But his hair was all in his face!!!
He would be such a pretty girl!! LOL
Trey really thought he was playing. You can tell by the look on his face. So serious. LOL
The love birds.
And finally a little play date with our good friends. They all have food in their mouths but I loved this pic because Kole is trying to steal a glass of water.

Caught with his mouth open.
